Cottage for Rent - Madawaska Valley
Cottage in Palmer Rapids
About The Cottage
While staying at our cottage, we ask that you treat it as your own.  However, like your own home, you have rules and so do we. We ask that you respect these rules and your stay will be enjoyable and safe.
  • With 3 bedrooms and 3 queen beds and futon, the cottage sleeps 7 comfortably. Any more than 7 people, must be approved by management. Day visitors must also be approved in advance.
  • All bedding and towels are provided by us so before you leave, just strip the beds and leave bedding on the bed and hang all towels in the bathroom.
  • The kitchen is very well equipped with glass top range, fridge /freezer, toaster, electric kettle, coffee maker, microwave, pots and pans, dishes, cutlery and slow cooker.
  • For entertainment, there is a TV/Shaw dish, DVD player/DVDs. Radio/CD player, board games, cards, dominoes, kids books.
  • For the cool evenings in spring and fall, there is a propane fireplace. Just set the thermostat for your comfort.
  • The cottage is on a well and septic. The water is safe to drink and is tested by Health Officials yearly. The water is UV protected to kill any additional bacteria. Do NOT waste water as that will put a strain on the septic system.
  • We provide garbage bags and tags but you are responsible for taking the garbage to the waste site fascility which is just down the road from the cottage. Waste site schedule is posted in the cottage.
  • The phone is for local calls only and for 911 emergencies. If you need to have family call you, there is a number that will be given upon request. There usually is no cell service at the cottage (depending on who your provider is.)
  • Dogs are allowed but not on the furniture and we expect you to "poop scoop" .
  • Smoking is allowed outside only and please put buts in the outside fire pit.
  • We are in the country so there are insects and mice that will come in if windows and doors are left open...so be conscious of that.
  • There is a BBQ/propane provided, outdoor chairs and picnic table. Wood is provided for the fire pit for your bonfires. There is often a fire ban when the weather is dry so you MUST abide by the ban or YOU could be fined.
  • Although the cottage seems secluded there are still other people on the lake so we ask that you keep noise down and be respectful of your neighbours. Remember that water carries the sound.
